Meet Rachel Benson, the Digital Marketing Specialist at Big Network. Discover her journey, her role in shaping our digital presence, and her unique approach to blending creativity with data-driven marketing strategies.

Who are you?

My name is Rachel Benson, and I am a Digital Marketing Specialist at Big Network. I am currently a Senior at Fordham University in The Bronx, New York, studying Communications and Marketing with another concentration in Spanish. Although statistics and market research are essential parts of marketing and I have spent a lot of my academics focus on those areas, I think bringing a creative eye to the field is just as important. In addition to my digital marketing work, I coach gymnastics in Manhattan and love to travel, see a concert, or catch a baseball game on the weekends.

Why did you join Big Network?

I spent the summer before my senior year interning at a digital marketing company based in Boston doing content creation and marketing research for social media platforms. I wanted to expand my knowledge on social media and other digital platforms and build on that experience, and Big Network provided me with the route I wanted to take to do that. I am excited to apply what I know and my creative perspective in marketing to Big Network's social media and digital presence.

What is your role and what is your primary responsibility?

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, I consider a significant part of my role to be bringing to life the visions others at Big Network have for their social channels and overall digital presence. I will help make and edit content for social media platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter as well as the Big Network website.

Where are you located? Where do you work each day?

I am attending classes in The Bronx, New York, and visit home in Gilford, New Hampshire when I can. By working remotely, I like to take advantage of the city workspaces when I can and take my work somewhere like The MET or be on Fordham’s beautiful green campus. When I head back to New Hampshire I get to work at home on Lake Winnipesaukee, which can be a great chance of pace and scenery from the city.
